➡️ #MITales 📖 | 2019, Mumbai. Lasith Malinga was brought back in the auction and was set to again play for the Men in Blue & Gold. Another senior made his comeback to the setup - Zaheer Khan - as our Director of Cricket Operations. . Yuvraj Singh, who was picked at the auction, turned the clock back when he smashed Chahal for three consecutive sixes at the Chinnaswamy. Debutant Alzarri Joseph rewrote record books with figures of 6/12 against SRH. While doing so, he also registered the best bowling figures in all IPL cricket. . Rohit Sharma's absence meant that Kieron Pollard captained MI for the first time in the IPL. In this game against KXIP, he led from the front, scoring 83 (31 ) to help MI chase down 133 from the last 10 overs. . Against RCB, MI had to chase down 22 from the last two to win the game. However, Hardik Pandya scored the required runs off the penultimate over to win the game against Pawan Negi, reminding us again of the 2015 season. . The knock of the season, however, came in a losing cause when Hardik smashed 91 (34 ) and also equalled the record for the fastest fifty by an MI player at Eden Gardens. . Rahul Chahar rose to the occasion against DC with his 3/19 that helped MI win the game by a 40-run margin. As the season progressed, Quinton de Kock turned out to be the shining light, accumulating the most runs for the team - 529. . Having cleared the CSK test in Qualifier 1, the team had to hold their nerve to win the final game, once again opposite CSK. MI did so and won by one run to seal the title in Hyderabad. With this victory, Mumbai Indians had become the first team to win four IPL titles. . #OneFamily

➡️ #MITales 📖 | 2018, Mumbai. We saw Lasith Malinga shoulder a different responsibility this year - that of a bowling mentor for Mumbai Indians. However, what didn’t change was 21,000 kids filling Wankhede to cheer for their favourite team against DC. Education For All had now become Education & Sports For All (ESA ). . MI opened their account with a win against RCB, courtesy, a three-wicket haul from Krunal Pandya. Youngster Mayank Markande performed exceptionally well. His numbers read 3/23 and 4/23 against CSK and SRH respectively, grabbing seven wickets from his first two IPL games. . In the game against KKR, Ishan Kishan clobbered Kuldeep Yadav for four consecutive sixes to score 62 (21 ) and become the joint-fastest MI player to score an IPL half-century. Suryakumar Yadav, the new MI opener, took full advantage of his position and was the leading run-getter for the team in this IPL edition with 512 runs from 14 games. . With 18 scalps, all-rounder Hardik Pandya’s efforts made him the highest wicket-taker for MI in 2018. Despite these performances, Paltan’s heart broke when MI finished fifth on the points table, thereby failing to defend their title. . #OneFamily
